This should melt your heart...

So, we were driving to the gym this morning and I was telling Davis and Reese that today is an extra special day. It's Good Friday and we celebrate Good Friday because this is the day that Jesus died for us to forgive our sins. Then I went on to tell them it was 6 years ago today that Pookie (Jarrett's mom) went to Heaven to be with Jesus. Davis said he wanted to give Pookie a hug when he gets to heaven. He then asked me if I was going to heaven and if daddy was too. Then he says, "Mommy, I don't want to go to heaven without Reese. I would miss her if she wasn't with me all the time." Hello tears! That just makes me smile to hear how much he loves his little sister and wants to be with her eternally in Heaven. I hope that time is not anytime soon, but I will be thankful and proud to know that both of my kids have chosen a life with Jesus in their hearts and that one day soon they will get to be with our eternal Father in Heaven. It is then that we can reunite with Pookie and TA and a lot of other loved ones.

Then Davis asks, "After Easter, is it boat season yet? I am ready for it to be boat season." I just thought that was so cute that the memories we are building at the lake are working. We even have a season for boats and lake! He must be an Amerman...favorite place to be is on the lake with family and friend.

Happy Easter. He is Risen!

  3. That is the cutest post ever! Davis is precious and so smart! I am glad you get to stay home with the kidos! They need their mommy answering all these important questions :) Oh I miss you guys and really wish you could visit us soon! The weather is absolutely gorgeous here. I'm laying out on my balcony soaking in the rays and looking at the lake and beautiful mountains...life can't get much better! Well I guess with kids it will be even better!
